ie crashing!!

can anyone help...i recently cleared trojans from my pc
also upgraded IE to IE SP1...also had host files
installed in my system32 file to prevent pop up adds that
cause my IE to freeze and i also defragmented my HD...but
when i open more then about 4-5 IE windows it just
freezes and i have to restart the computer manually...

this is really getting annoying even though i have
deleted spyware, trojans + worms and upgraded my IE, but
still the IE is freezing

can anyone help

Khan,
I can give you two instructions that might help clear this up.
Have you upgraded your video drivers? If not, go to the
manufacturers website and see if you can download new ones.
Then, another thing that can make it crash like that is if you
have your Virus Scan set to scan system files in the background.
I set mine to OFF on the system scan and then do a full scan
a couple times a week manually and it ended the same problem
you are having.. Particularly if you are running either Norton
or McAfee.
