IE and GIF files

Hello,

I have a problem with speed of (mainly big ?) gif files (I saw many
other people have noticed it in google archives)
IE ignores totally the delay between frames (in 1/100 sec) of the GIF.
Netscape displays them correctly (like any Gif editor such Gif
Construction Set or Jasc Animation Shop)
I've only tested on Win 98.
Is it also the same thing on XP ?
Is it an old bug ?
