IE address bar won't auto search

The browser's address bar will no longer auto search.
Also the web sites that do searches will not come up.
Strange results on any web searches tried. Any
suggestions? I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated my
IE6 fixes, but this does not correct the problem.

Look for spyware. These two freeware utilities look for much the same
culprits. Update after downloading.
