Windows Vista IE 7 - MS07-033 vulnerability patch - Vista PC

Hi,

I'm trying to install the IE7 MS patch - MS07-033 on a Vista 32 bit PC. I used the patch - Windows6.0-KB933566-x64.msu .

I receive the error "The update does not apply to your system"

Windows update does not find that this update is needed, but our Foundstone scan says that it is needed.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows why this won't install? Thanks

If Windows says it is not needed, then it ain't needed ... just to clarify a little more. You are using Vista 32 bit, you can't, and Vista won't let you, install any 64 bit patches ... not applicable.


Dump Foundstone if I were you, it's wrong in it's assumption.

I'm sorry I meant to say I did try to apply the 32 bit patch, not the 64 bit patch.

I only install "patches" offered to me via Windows Update Site.
