I have a 20 inch monitor so that I can view and work with
multiple windows at the same time. But everytime I open
IE or when a full-size pop up opens, IE opens to full-
screen, and I am constantly have in manually resize the
screen. Is there any way to set the size of the IE
window so that it opens to the same size every time?

FWIW what I do is manage a single normal size
by carefully making sure that there is always a window
of that size available to be closed last. In some cases
this means that I have to open a new blank window before
closing one which would not maintain my preferences.
It can also mean that I might have to press F11 or doubleclick
on a title bar to toggle out of Fullscreen or maximized mode
before closing a window, just to make sure that the normal size
is still being preserved.

It is especially important not to close the last window in maximized
mode because I have noticed a tendency of XP to change the
normal window size in that case to simulate a maximized window.
That, I find, is the most common reason I have for having to resize
windows.

As I get better at managing the last window I close as described above,
I have had less need to resize any of my windows.

BTW when I do have to resize my windows I often use the Task bar's
Cascade Windows command to reduce the amount of dragging I have
to do. My wish is that there would be a registry override which would
allow me to specify the size and shape that Cascade Windows uses.
Then I would certainly use Cascade Windows even more frequently.
