Having problems with Internet Explorer 6. Every time I open a window to
search the web-the pages 'hang' for minutes at a time. Sometimes they don't
open at all. Can anyone help. Its driving me mad. All this technical talk
baffles me.

If all the "technical talk" baffles you, then the best solution is to
take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local
version of BigStoreUSA).

Unfortunately, computers are highly technical and often the repairs
and/or troubleshooting steps require you to at least be able to follow
the "technical talk" instructions.

If you want to try this yourself, then first determine that the computer
is virus/malware-free by going through these steps systematically:

The majority of problems with Internet connectivity and browsers on
Windows machines are caused by viruses and malware, so the first
troubleshooting step is to make sure the computer is clean.

You've done very well; you undoubtedly underestimated your ability to
deal with this! ;-)

Since another browser works fine, save yourself a trip to the computer
shop and do a little troubleshooting with IE6. The problems may be
caused by a faulty third-party plugin or toolbar. Here are some links
and you can also post your question in the IE6 newsgroup.
