IE 6 w/sp1 won't load anymore...

Up until this morning, my system was working flawlessly
running Windows XP Pro and IE 6 w/SP1. All of a sudden, all
my open IE sessions closed and IE will no longer load. No
errors or not even an attempt to load. I attempted a "Last
known system configuration" through F8 with no success. I
booted in safe mode and IE seems to work fine in that mode.
I removed everything possible in my system startup
(msconfig) and re-booted without success. Outlook 2003
works, MSN messenger works, Mozilla 1.7 works; I know it's
not my network socket. It's got to be something in XP and
it's registry...I think. I even downloaded and re-intalled
IE 6 w/SP1 with no success.
What gives and has anyone else had similar problems?

Sounds like my problem Joe. I just added a post titled "ie shortcut not launching, buttons not working". Let me know if you have anything, I'll do likewise.
I am able to use the internet via "My Computer" as a workaround, but my email buttons still don't work.
