IE 6 speed

When I use IE6 as my browser it runs very slow for things
like microsoft support,ebay, and other microsoft sites. It
runs very good for other sites like my credit union site
and my email. I have done everything I can think of
including having a compaq tech help me reformat my machine
with no results. i am running XP home. i have a compaq
presario 6450NX with 512 ram. I am connected with comcast
broadband. My machine runs like I still have a sick 386.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

sounds to me like your ISP is to blame. If you can access
local servers quickly yet distant servers are slow then
you cant blame your pc for being selective I think. Change
ISP and see how you go if all else fails. They will NEVER
admit to a bottleneck in their system btw.
