Hi I am trying to get to the web page listed below. Each time I try to
enter the site the page shows it is loading, goes to a white screen with Done
in the bottom left corner. It is our church's website and many other people
are able to access. It seems I am the only one having this problem. Can it
be a setting on my computer.

I cannot get past this screen. Each time I try to enter the website it is a
blank screen with the word "done: in the bottome left corner.

A New Fellowship has started here in Anne Arundel County Maryland (in the
Severna Park, Pasadena, Glen Burnie Maryland Area), and we invite you to come
join us.

With all that is going on in the world around us today, we wanted to have
close Christian Fellowship so we could be encouraged by God’s Word, and to
also encourage each other.

We will study the Bible together, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book, so that
it will be our compass to help us navigate through the tough-times we now
live in.

**** 8/11. Hi I can load the Ministry Profile but cannot do the first
page... strange. Any suggestions to why I cannot load the first page?
Thanks, for getting me to page two. I will try to see if I can access the
pages after the Ministry profile as well.

More likely it's the source. Have you tried View Source to see whether
that "white screen" is really a blank page or not?

That one looks just as awful to me but is much smaller.

Both are using code produced by Microsoft Publisher.
Surely there is a way of tuning the generation of better HTML
with that tool?

The first page is much bigger. How much memory does your computer have?
If not enough perhaps you should increase your virtual memory...

Always disclose your OS when you need help.
One guess would be that you have Windows ME
and have an improperly installed VGX.
(VML seems to be featured in the source and users of
that OS often report difficulty installing that component.)

BTW does the site offer an alternate link for a plain text browser? <eg>

Hi,

My computer is a Toshiba Satelite Laptop, Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2.79 GHz,
512 MB of Ram., OS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 2,
Virtual memory is set at 766 MB. Everything came loaded new when I got the
Laptop. (PS. I was at one point able to access the website without any
problems, this was some time ago though). Also, There are no other links to
the website for text only browsing. Thank you again for your help. Diane

here is the source code of the white screen, but I do not know how to read
it.
<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml"
xmlns:blush:="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:blush:ffice:blush:ffice"

So that was part of the top of the Notepad window and proves that at least
some of the page's source is being downloaded.

Now try turning on the Notepad window's Status bar and scrolling to the
bottom. You may have to turn off Word Wrap first. (Alt-o,W Alt-V,S Ctrl-End)

Do you then see the proper HTML end tag? And what line is it on?
FWIW I see it on line 17955. E.g. Ctrl-End put me at 17956.

If the download is being truncated or severely corrupted that could
explain your symptom.

One possible cause for that would be an overly large MTU value
for your environment or the path you take to that site.

<title>KB314825 - How to Troubleshoot Black Hole Router Issues</title>

I wish I could find a better description of the consequences of having
too big an MTU size. Because it is often smaller than the average
transaction anyway I suspect that it has a probabilistic effect. E.g. there
could still be recovery for truncated packets in most cases but it would
be just a case that performance could suffer and an occasional total
failure be more likely.

If the source appears to be intact an IE Repair would be advisable
(ref KB194177) except that most XP users can't do one because
they don't have setupwbv.dll.

But you could try the list of regsvr32 commands given in KB831429
It represents a significant subset of the old IE Repair (ref. KB194177)
plus the suggestion to re-register shell32.dll and msjava.dll
Note: msjava.dll may not be installed if you don't have MS Java

The re-initialization which will most likely fix your symptom is:

regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll
