IE 6 runtime errors

T

Tim

I am receiving the following errors when viewing web
pages containing Java scripts:

A Runtime error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?
Line1
Error: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1

If I click NO then I get the following error:

A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line:36
Erro: Object doesn't support this property or method

IE then freezes and has to be shut down. I am using XP Sp1

Thanks

Not sure that you can.......... this sounds a lot like
careless programming on behalf of the site designer for
the site you're visiting. Click no a few times and you
should be okay........... if you're like me you won't go
back to that site in a hurry........more hassle than it's
worth!!!

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

You may need this new version.

Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Choose the download
appropriate for your operating system.
