IE 6 not streaming video media...please help!

Hi -

I've been having a major problem with IE6: I can't stream
media, namely video clips from sites such as Yahoo!
Movies:

http://movies.yahoo.com/trailers/

Every time I click on a movie trailer to play, IE stops
responding. And then I have to shut it down through the
Task Manager window (ctrl+alt+del). It's not just this
page, but also hollywood.com and others like it.

Windows Media Player 9 series is my default player. I
installed Netscape Navigator just to see if it was the
browers, but when I tried to watch a trailer at some of
the above mentioned websites, Netscape didn't respond
either. I thought it was the Yahoo website, for instance,
but I logged on to it using my roommates computer and I
was able to watch video clips in an instant, especially
at Yahoo! Movies.

I have Windows XP home, IE version 6.00.2100...I have no
idea what to do or what the problem is. Please help!

Thanks very much.

Are you running a firewall? You may have to lower your
settings or even shut down the firewall.

I had this problem when I first installed ZoneAlarm, I
wasn't able to even see animation (Animated Gifs, such as
on forum avatars/sigs).

Eventually I got online enough and messed around with
ZoneAlarm until everything was back to normal.
