IE 6: no links will load

Have IE 6, and when I click on a link, if the link is programmed for
a new window to come up, then the new window is blank in the address bar. It
will set there all day and not load yet the IE globe keeps turning. To reach
the link, I have to click on the properities of the link, copy and paste
them into the new window address bar. Weird.
I am running Win98. Never had this problem before. Also running Sypbot,
ZoneAlarm, AdWare and Norton antivirus. thanks in advance for any help.
