Hi
I'm using XP Pro and IE 6
My browser appearance seems to have suddenly changed
after installing Norton Systemworks 2004.(?).
I no longer have an address bar and when I right click to
change the toolbar arrangements the "customise" option is
no longer there!
Can anyone help please?
Thanks.
NH

Nick,
Close all instances of IE except one
Right-click on the top Toolbar, uncheck: "Lock the Toolbars"
Place the cursor over the "Address" button and click (hold down)
It will change to a 4-way arrow, move or expand the Address Bar to desired
location
Right-click on the top Toolbar, check: "Lock the Toolbars"
Hold down the Ctrl key and close IE

Hi Mike .
Thanks for your reply.
The only option when I right click the tool bar is text
labels! Unlock / Lock and Customise are not there, the
other options are greyed out?
It does seem that the tool bar is locked as I cannot
resize oe move any of the boxes.
I tried to go to the suggested url (using avent browser)
but the page was unobtainable at this time!
Any more sugestions?
Thanks.
NH

Nick,
"the other options are greyed out"
That sounds more like a Registry restriction .......

Open Notepad and save the below as: UnlockToolbar.reg

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explor
er]
"NoBandCustomize"=dword:00000000
"NoToolbarCustomize"=dword:00000000
"Btn_Search"=dword:00000000
"SpecifyDefaultButtons"=dword:00000000

To use: right-click and select: Merge, and reboot
