IE 6 Crashes when I try to Print

K

kang_man

When I try to print a report through IE, I get the message "Microsoft
Internet Explorer has experienced a problem and needs to close".

The error signature reveals:
AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1479
Offset: 001e164d

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've found the following articles with respect to mshtml.dll causing your
reported error message. Let's try the following first:

Shut down all programs. Click on the Start button, then click on 'Run'. Type the
following:

regsvr32 mshtml.dll

Also - It's reported that this *may* have something to do with Yahoo! Companion.
If you have this program, try uninstalling it and see what happens. If, after
rebooting, the above two things don't work, try the working through the
following pages (in order):

Illegal Operation Error Message When You Try to Print a Web Page

Internet Explorer or Outlook Express Quits Unexpectedly with an Error in
Mshtml.dll

You may receive an error message in module Mshtml.dll and Internet Explorer
quits when you run a custom Web program in Internet Explorer 6

**The page below lists several sites which may serve to remedy the problem. Try
going through them to see if any are applicable to your case**

Thank you for all of your suggestions.

Re-registering the dll seems to have worked. I'll let you know if the
problem creeps back.

Thanks again.
