IE 6.0.2800.1106IC - script error when loading

P

PeterL

Running Win98SE and IE 6

When I start IE, I get a script error as follows:

Line 1
Char 2
URL: c:\windows\htwtb.bin

I've reloaded the script engine with no solution.

When I look in that file it reads:

<HTML><BODY><OBJECT ID="Bar" CLASSID="CLSID:EE392A64-F30B-
47C8-A363-CDA1CEC7DC1B"> </OBJECT><SCRIPT
LANGUAGE="JScript"> var OBJ_WebBrowser = Bar.GetObject
("BarWebBrowser"); </SCRIPT></BODY></HTML>

It seemed to happen about the same time a new toolbar
arrived in IE. I don't know where it came from. It's got a
search box in it and small icons and is just below the
address toolbar. When I "unlock" toolbars I can move it up
out of the way, beside the address toolbar, but after
locking it, it does not stay locked, and on reloading re-
appears.

I may try reloading IE..

Any help?

Thanks

Peter
