identifying unique values

Hi,

I have a range of dates (with duplicates) in which I want
to count the unique values.

Any ideas how I can do this?

Hi Mireile
use the following formula
=SUMPRODUCT(1/COUNTIF(A1:A1000,A1:A1000&""))
if A1:A1000 is your range with data
