IDE to SATA converter.....???

No.I doubt it.

If the mobo does not support large drives, then either upgrade the bios to
one that does or get an HDD overlay that adds the support in - goto your HDD
manufacturers web site to find it.

IDE/Sata converters should be avoided, but when they work they work. Just
don't expect to be able to support optical drives as well - google around
for other products as IMO if another says HDD + Opticla it is more recent (>
the 1.0 standard for the one you point at) and probably better.
