IDE connections

My new PC will have 4 eIDE ports, 2 on the MB and 2 on a SIIG ultra ATA
133 PCI card.

The MB ports have 2 HDs on ide1, and a DVD reader and a DVD writer on
ide2.

The SIIG card will have a HD on ide3 and a tape drive on ide4.

Should this work OK or should it be juggled a bit? Perhaps swap ide 2 &
3?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Well, I don't know about the SIIG card, but many cards and onboard
controller chips don't like you attaching ATAPI drives to them. As long as
that's not the case, you should be fine.
