I have a database that I created using Access 2003. I pretty much backup the
database every day. When I open the data base in the morning, the main
Access page has at the top left corner Data Base 2-6-07, just as it should.
But then in parentheses, it says :Database (access 2000 format). why does it
say that? Should I worry about it further?

The default file format for Access 2003 (and for Access 2002, for that
matter) is the Access 2000 format. This is done deliberately to maximize the
number of versions of Access that can share the same database. You likely
just didn't notice it before.
