How can I find out what the icons in my message list mean? My boss is
asking me what this new icon means that has never appeared before. It is an
unopened envelope hanging on a little string showing with a sheet beside it.

Just curious, Jeannine
 
I'm not sure what that icon means, I don't see it in my version of Outlook but to view a list of symbols and what they mean, you can do a search in Outlook. I did a search for "icons" and found a topic of "About symbols in Microsoft Outlook" It will list all the symbols/icons and their meanings.
