icons in the my music floder

how do i get the media player icon back with my music files ? in stead of
showing the media player icon and peice of paper it shows a globe and
music paper and it is an old icon like from windows 95/98 .when I open it
up it it opens windows media player but i would like the media player
icon back.

Open My Documents, go to Tools > Options, click on the File types tab,
scroll down the registered file types till you find your music extension,
click on it once, i.e. WMA extension, once it is highlighted, then select
the Advanced button at the bottom. Edit file type box should appear click
on the Change Icon button and then hit the browse button, browse to the
windows media player executable all icons associated with the exe file will
be displayed at the bottom select your icon and ok all the way back out. It
should fix you icon problem.
