Icons don't match application

Many of my icons for both applications and files are not
associating correctly. For example, in my Windows
explorer, all of my MS Office Icons may have a network
icon associated with them. They are mapped correctly in my
start forlder, but seem to be out of whack across the rest
of my system.

I have the latest copy of McAfee and ran a scan, so I am
looking for other suggestions.

I am running Win2K on a Toshiba Tecra 8000, PII, 196 MB
RAM.

Thanks

Control Panel|Display|Appearance|Advanced and try changing the icon size by
one, apply changes, then go back in and change the size back. This should
cause the operating system to rebuild the shelliconcache file which may be
in a corrupted state.
