Icons disappeared from desktop

I know I probably did something but all of my icons disappeared from my
desktop. I'm running Windows AP home edition.

Try right-clicking on the Desktop, choose Arrange Icons By from the menu,
select Show Desktop Icons on the following menu.

We don't know what you did either and you've provided no information about
your computer so I'm not sure how we can help. As a wild guess, right-click
on an empty area of the Desktop. Left-click on the Arrange icons and you'll
see its submenu. At the bottom of that submenu is an option to show the
Desktop icons. Click on it to put a checkmark next to it. Apply/OK out.
