Icon display problem

I presume everybody has thier added software and
programs. when U download one, the icon will be
displayed soon after. I know i don't have aproblem with
downloading,,,
okay then,,some of you may use "TWEAK UI" for customizing
windows..the last part of the dropdown menu,,there is a
repair category having a choice of "Icon repair." I used
it, then suddenly added folders and software icons turned
into default folder icons. I tried restoratrion,
undoing, restarting..or now i think of it,,,i should use
my back up from a MONTHS
