Icon Customizing

I remember customizing my icons on my old pc. I was able
to change whether or not I wanted the blue box behind the
lettering. Also, I could change the look of the shortcut
arrow...making it almost invisible. I can't remember how
I did this...any suggestions?

For the colour behind the letters, look for an option in
the display settings.

As for the shortcut arrow, get TweakUI. It's a good
program to have in any case, and it'll allow you to
change the shortcut arrow to a smaller one, no arrow, or
anything of your choosing.
