iCal imports?

Hi,

I am able to download a calendar in .ics format and I thought I should be
able to import it into my Outlook calendar but it isn't working. I'm using
Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 on the backend. When I try to import the
file directly from the web site it says something about Lunar and Gregorian
formats, I have no idea what that is about. When I try to import from the
Import wizzard it reports the file maybe corrupted.

The instructions on the web site are for importing into Google Calendar or
into iCal. Is there anything I can do about this?

In case you don't see it there, one piece of advice is to edit the file with
Notepad and remove the VERSION:2.0 line in the file. For some, that works.
Another piece of advice is to use Notepad to look for leading or trailing
spaces on some of the lines. One other solution was to make sure the
DESCRIPTION field contained only CR/LF terminator values for the end-of-line
indicators. Perhaps one of the solutions in this conversation will work for
you.

Brian, thanks for the tips. Removing the Version 2.0 line did the trick.
Would be nice if MS would modify Outlook to be more compatible with the rest
of the world.
