IBM Deskstar win2k problem

I've just added an IBM Deskstar 60GB 7200RPM drive that worked fine under
win 98 to my win 2k system. It gives my a STOP message, when I remove the
drive I can boot fine. I've hooked it up as a slave (pure data, no os on
it) - the jumpers and the IDE cables are fine. I know the drive is fine
since it works fine under win 98. Actually, it works fine under safe mode,
just not normal - odd.

Does anyone here know of any win2k issues with this drive - the IBM /
Hitachi Global Storage Technology site doesn't throw up anything useful.
 
....solved it. (Had to go into safe mode and updated the disk driver windows
had selected to another standard disk driver, after that it worked fine).
