I would still like help with my "not in list" event problem

I have two subforms and each subform has one combo box with a "not in list"
code. I have the code set up correctly for each combo box for the appropriate
table. One combo box does not work even though the codes are virtually
identical and I get the following error:

"A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE
server or ActiveX control".

I have compiled and compacted.

Can anyone help?

I'm guessing that your problem is with an ActiveX control upsetting your
code somehow. I've always had trouble with ActiveX and avoid it like the
plague.
