Is there a smart way to show users a calendar on a web
page a little bit liek the outlook calendar?

Yes -- you can publish the Outlook calendar as a web. The formatting
doesn't look the same quite as the view in Outlook it is formatted as a
traditional calendar -- you can view one at my site here:

How I use it is this. In my regular outlook calendar, I use categories to
identify different things like appointments -- I only want web visitors to
see classes and workshops, so I copy the calendar, view the copy "by
category", then delete all the categories that I don't want to appear on the
site. That leaves only classes in that calendar for me. Then choose "Save
as Web Page" in the File Menu and save the folder produced into your web.
Put hyperlinks to the Main Calendar (which you will have titled in the save
process). The calendar appears as a traditional calendar format with a
sidebar holding event details (including any notes you've inserted in the
appointment). The only drawback I find is that each event shows as a
separate page, so "backing up" becomes a bit unwieldy. I'm working on
learning how to insert a bit of html so that I can just put a hyperlink to
the home page on the calendar, but haven't taken it on yet, so don't know if
it works.

Hope that helps.
