I want to include a u tube clip

I am using Student an Office version of Windows and I don't seem to have a
view toobars option... any ideas how to embedd a u tube clip in a ppt so I
can use it offline?

To use it off line it must be downloaded and then converted to a format
usable in PPT. Just be aware that youtube clips are small and poor
resolution and converting them again sure won't help the issue. My
suggestion, contact who ever posted the video and see if they have an
original copy.

However, you can Google -- "download YouTube video." You'll get options for
downloading as a .flv. Many of these are free. Then you'll need converter
software to convert the .flv to a program compatible with PowerPoint. I use
Replay Converter.

Commonly there are two steps:
1. Download a video from YouTube
2. Embed the YouTube video into PowerPoint
