I want to download macrons for a hyphen over letters (Maori)

I am New Zealander and need to type up assignments using the Maori language,
which have macrons. This is a hyphen over the letter to lengthen the vowel,
which saying the word.

These characters are already built-in, you do not need to download them.
Look up "Symbols" in the Word help for more information.

When you find each symbol you need, assign it to a keystroke so you can get
to it easily next time. Look up "Customize" in the Word help for more.

As John says, they are already there. It might pay, also, to look at
www.unicode.org -- there are now standards for very many languages
(including Maori) with which you might as well be consistent.

You can find vowels with macron and breve in the Latin Extended-A character
subset in Insert | Symbol. For example, A and a with macron are at U0100 and
U0101, E and e at U0112 and U0113, etc. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm for tips on inserting
these special characters.
