I use Window XP. Outlook2000 error "Need window installer"

I use Windows XP Home with MS Office 2000. Often when starting Outlook 2000
I get an error message: This application requires WIndows Installer. I found
guidance to re-install installer from my MSOffice CD, but when I do it says,
"Wrong OS or OS Version." What is the deal with WIndow XP using MSOffice
2000?

I also find that I have error msg when starting: Virtual Memory Minimum Too
Low. I went to Properties and fixed it too self regulate pagecalling but no
avail.

Do you have SP2 installed. WinXP sp2 has a higher version of the windows
installer in which Office 2000 would not recognize.

Yes, I have SP2 installed. But i did that month's ago without trouble until
last week when the automatic update added something. I reinstalled windows
xp today with the SP2 streamlined in.

any ideas?

Someone may have other advice, but it sounds like the windows installer is
not working or is damaged. You could try reinstalling the installer.
