Today i derag my harddrive and notice that during the defragmenting my
harddrive started to lose at least 3gb. Don't exactly know what happen. I
cleared system restore then use diskcleanup and still did not recover the 3gb
that was missing.
anyone know what might be causing this? is it page files usage? I think it's
page file is setup automatically. How do i set it up so that it doesn't take
a lot of harddrive. I have at least 1.5gb memory on my computer.

With 1.5 gig ram, you would have a hibernation file of 1.5gig and a page
file of the same size. You can turn off the hibernation, but you will have
to have the page file somewhere. If you are that short on space, you should
consider a new drive.

You are better off to leave Windows to manage the page file.. you must also
remember to delete files in recycle bin after a spring clean too..

How do i turn off the hibernation?
