I use a wide screen. How to set resolution appropiately?

I have a DELL600 and I recently bought a LCD wide screen Acer 1916W.
The image I have is not displayed properly both resolution and image.
How can I set up my display for wide screen 16:9 format.

Check you have the correct drivers installed.
Right click the screen and choose properties / Settings and set tyhe
correct settings
