I run win xp he, somehow i lost my operating system

I hope there is help for me...
I recently lost my operating system. i can boot up to the point to the window logon and then it shuts down and reboots again. I tried booting in safe mode and all the other options, no luck. I ran a mcafee boot disk, it checked for viruses found nothing then tells me the disk is outdated i'm at my wits end HELP!

Hey,

Have you tried reinstalling the operating system, Windows XP? Some system
files might be missing.
