I only want to show records with the latest date?

I have 2 tables. One has Member ID, Name, Date joined Club. The second has
record ID, Member ID, Date attendance valid from, and tick box fields for
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Members sometimes change the
dates they will be attending sessions and therefore subscription fees change.
How do I create a query that shows all members and the days they currently
attend? I do not want to show their attendance history!

It seems to me given this description, the latest date would be the latest
record ID as well? If a date change would instance a new record? So sort
by member Id AND record ID descending.
