I need to uncreate shortcuts

Can anyone help me? I copied some photos onto my computer from my E drive (a
digital camera memory stick reader and writer) Unfortunately I did not
realize I copied them as shortcuts and I deleted the originals from my E
drive. Now I have a folder full of photos labeled as shortcuts and I can't
e-mail, edit or move them. Instead I get a memo that says "Problem with
Shortcut The item that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so
this shortcut will no longer work properly" Is there any way I can save the
photos as originals? Please help, I'm desperate!!

A Shortcut is nothing more than a roadsign telling you whether to turn right
or left. After that, you're on your own. You've deleted that data/pictures.
It is possible, if you have not formatted the memory stick, to retrieve the
photos with a 3rd party restorer.
The below free program may help, but I'm not sure if it will work on a
memory stick. You can download it to a floppy disk. Restorer (Rest2514.exe)
