hello I use Excel 2003 and when I scroll there is a little tip that
shows me either the ROW or Column number where I am at...but I need
this feature disabled.
I have tried everything from resetting excel 2003 back to default...I
do not want to uninstall because there has to be a way to do
this ...no?

Thanks

Emanuel

I don't get the yellow tooltip when I scroll in xl2003.

If I recall correctly, xl2k showed the tip.

xl2002 and xl2003 both have live scrolling--so the tooltip was removed.

But I guess enough people liked it, so MS put it back in xl2007.

I don't think there is a way to disable this feature.

I certainly liked it and missed it.

hello ladies and gent's, What I noticed is that IF you upgrade your
office XP to office 2k3 you have the tooltip (which is annoying) BUT
if you do a fresh install then it's installed without that tooltip.
but if you already upgraded evev if you uninstall and reload it the
problem continues...maybe there is a REG fix that I am not aware of.

Please update with your findings.

Thank you
