I have need to extend the field length of a text field in my CD database. I
cannot find out how to get to an editable form. Any directions welcomed. I
constructed the database some years ago and have lost the knack. I cannot get
beyond the presentation screen.

I'm not quite sure where your problem lies, but try pressing F11 to see
if that opens the database container window for you. If it doesn't, try
closing the database, then reopening it while holding down the Shift
key, and then (after it has opened) releasing the Shift key and pressing
F11.

Hold the shift key while starting the application. That will bypass any
startup code or screens, and put you directly into the Access database
screen.
Edit the length of the field, using Table Design Mode, in the table
where it resides.
