I need to disable the cut/paste and spellchecker in Word.

I am a testing coordinator for a New Mexico High School. As an allowable
accomodation for the state and national testing for students with special
needs is the use of a computer for writing, as long as the spell/grammar
check, cut and paste, and a variety of other opions are "disabled." Further
investigation defined this word as "usable for the student to access them
under any circumstances." Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this or do
I just tell the students they are out of luck. Many of these children can
not manipulate a writing utensil.

The 'under any circumstances' is a killer. Anything you can turn off,
someone else can turn on, and kids are *really* good at finding
work-arounds.

Spelling and Grammar can be disabled (sort of) by clearing the checkboxes
under Tools > Options > Spelling and Grammar or by setting the language to
'Do not check spelling and grammar', then removing the menu options and
keyboard shortcuts. A beginner might be slowed down by this; a teenager
determined to cheat would work out how to defeat this in a few minutes.

Cut and paste are part of the operating system, rather than part of Word; so
there's really no way to block it. But for heaven's sake, why? Children who
can't use a 'writing utensil' (do you mean 'pen' ?) surely have enough
challenges as it is. Switching off cut and paste is just mean.
