I need help with this error

Hi

I use windows xp professional edition with norton antivirus 2006.Lately the
computer freeze when i get disconnected from the internet.I use a dial up
connection.When i checked the error in the Event viewer it was a system error
with the following description

Source: Service control manager
Category: None
Type: Error
Event ID: 7000

Description: The polaroid digital cam video service failed to start due to
the following error: The service cannot be started either because it is
disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it

Source: E100B
Category: None
Type: Warning
Event ID: 4

Description: Adapter Intel(R) PRO/100VE network connection: Adapter Link down

I would very much appreciate if anyone could help me fix this
