Steve, it's doing that double up thing...I think that's due to old extensions??? I can't remember.

Have your host check / repair the FrontPage extensions.

Also, if I understand what I see, you've created a photogallery as your navigation structure.

Seems it works, but I must say I don't recall ever seeing that done before.

Yes I did but I emptied the directory at the server, called them to repair
the extensions then uploaded from Frontpage.
JoAnne

I just finished uploading a brand new frames page. It is still making a
double photogallery but the photos don't show up either. THIS IS DRIVING ME
NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am ready to chuck it ans use Adobe.
JoAnne

Here is a new twist.....I created a seperate page, no frames or tables, etc.
and pit a slideshow there with 2 pictiures. I uploaded it with Frontpage then
upon trying to view it I get this on a blank screen
[photogallery/photo00000389/photogallery/photo00000389/real.htm]

Any ideas???????
JoAnne

How did you "empty" the directory on the server??

I deleted all the websites files except for the index. Then re-wrote the site
in Frontpage after my host corrected the problem. I AGAIN added the photo
album slideshow to the right next to the buttons. chose the files then
created it. The window opened all the pictures, placed them and it looked
good even in preview. I then saved it to the server through FP and got the
crap I got before. I am past frustration. I then decided to create a single
page with a slideshow ONLY on that page, added 2 pictures then saved it. When
I opened it in the browser after deleting all temp files, and got the stupid
line [photogallery/photo00000389/photogallery/photo00000389/real.htm]

Now what is going on? This is the most difficult thing I have ever seen, I
have been working on this all day with the same results. The site is fine as
long as I don't try to add the slideshow, when I try to add it to the index
page, it seems to double the frame or table.
JoAnne

Ok, bear with me, as I'm a little confused.
You say you created the slide show right next to the buttons. The page I looked at earlier had
buttons on the left, and then image place holders next to the buttons. The buttons and image place
holders linked to the same pages in the web site.

Try this, insert just the "buttons" and then publish the page so we can see it.

You know I will never use Frontpage again for a photo gallery or slideshow,
this is the end of all this. Your help department leaves little to be
desired. I went back to the old site and am sorry I took all day trying to
get help here.

JoAnne.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the photo gallery.
It's very possible that the problem is with the server, as I have yet to have problems with one.

As for the help here, we're all volunteers doing this on our own time, equipment, and expense.
We do the best we can.

Regards

Steve:

Doesn't look like there are extensions there now?:

WWW Site: www.rrides.com
Port: 80
Server Software: Microsoft-IIS/4.0
FrontPage Extensions: NO

I guess we shouldn't tell her about VML images either?

So much for our service dept. here :-)
