The freeware program "dBpowerAMP Music Converter" will convert Windows Media
Audio (.wma) files to wav, mp3 or what ever you like:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm You will need to also download the
"Windows Media Audio Codec" from the codecs download page. Here's the FAQ
for dBpowerAMP: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

When I extract (rip) music from CDs I never save the music in Microsoft's
proprietary wma format. Ripping to mp3 or directly to wav makes the files
much easier to work with, as you are discovering.

Regards,
Ian.

Download and install CDex. Insert a CD, and it should retrieve the track names.
If they are correct, click the "Extract CD tracks to WAV files" button. That's
it! CDex is FREE. http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
Why do you need WAV files?
