I was reformating my desktop and I selected the recovery with a backup
mode option. I wanted all the documents and pictures and music ect.
However when the recovery was backing up the data, I changed my mind as
I was not sure if it will back up the documents and stuff (don't ask
why). So I switched off the computer at that point (it was almost done
backing up data). Now I am not sure what to do and if I lost the data
or I might still have it or I lost all ?

Pleassssssseeeeee help.......

Presumably, nothing works such that you could take a look.. do a search on
the Internet for file recovery programs..

This is a start for you..
http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm

Install the drive into another computer, and then run the above program or
one of your own choice.. I will tell you now that the results are often less
than perfect..

The smaller computer stores in your area may offer a service if you feel
that you are not up to the task, but it is not cheap as it takes time..

well, i don't think you have any choice except open up windows and see what
happens.....

you may not have a choice but to complete the backup. Or you might be able
to use your recovery console and see what you can salvage of these documents
and stuff you had... Then finish the backup or maybe try to see if your
restore points are still intack or repair windows....

Funny, you should have backed up before restoring an older backup, but we
all make these mistakes as well.. Can I ask what you mean when you say
"reformatting my desktop"? It's not a logical statement....
