I lost my shared border hyperlinks using Frontpage theme?

My hyperlinks have disappeared and I cannot retrieve them? I'm using a
Frontpage theme. My insert "interactive button" link is not enable, why?

Interactive buttons do not function in shared borders. Use a DWT to
layout your pages and include the IBs on that. See

In Tools Page Options Authoring make sure all features are turned on to use the FP technologies and the browser/schema is set to IE
