I lost my send/receive tab in outlook

My wife installed an update for Office 2000 last night and after that we did
not have a send/receive tab. Now we cannot send or receive email. Does
anybody know how to fix this.

ensure you first have a functional email account is added and configured.
After that, right-click on an Outlook Toolbar, select Customize and in the
Toolbars tab select "Reset".
