I haven't got an icon for when I save my WORD 2003 document?

I have recently bought the student and teacher version 2003 edition. After
installing it I began to use Word but found out that I was missing an icon
for it after I saved a document, so it appeared as an 'open with' file. But i
could still open the file as normal. Any suggestions?

Does this occur on a single document? If so did you rename the file
and remove the *.doc file extension?

If it happens on all documents then go to Start/Run and run the
following command to recreate the file associations for Word:

Winword /r

Note the space before the forward slash.

I think now their might be a missing file on the CD for the WORD logo that
shows on every word document. can you help?

Have you tried the solution Beth proposed? Do that first. If you need
