sorry about that. i was typing too fast and hit the button before i realised
there were seperate fields.
my question:
i have a long list of names and details that i need to be able to
automatically count and divide into seperate groups of an equal number.
instead of counting every 20 line and inserting a blank one. is this possible?

LOL - No worries.
Assuming your data starts in A1 and goes down to A1000, in cell B1 put
=MOD(ROW(),20)=1 and copy down to B1000 (Double-click the bottom right of the
cell B1). Select Col B and do Data / Filter / Autofilter and filter on TRUE.
Select all you can see in Col B and do Edit / Go To / Special / Visible Cells
only and then do Edit / Insert / Rows.
Sounds like a lot of names though - 2000 hundred??
