and I expect it to be malicious? True? Microsoft recently
said that this kind of mail never originates from them

A glaringly obvious attempt by some malefactor to obtain your
personal information for some nefarious, and probably expensive (to
you), purpose. This time of scam had become widely publicized of late,
and is known as "phishing."
