I get Message "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook...

Full message: Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook
window. The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available.
Contact your administrator if this condition persists.
This is my home computer, there is no server or administrator. I tried to
follow all of the instructions I could find on MS websites, including the one
that says I "spedified a filename instead of the path" when loading office.
Outlook worked for me since I bought Office 2003 several months ago, now it
does not load and I cannot find any way to correct anything - where can I
correct the default location if that is what has reset itself so suddenly?

What account type do you want to configure Outlook with and what account
type do you have configured in Control Panel-> Mail?

Sounds like you've (mis)configured an Exchange account now.

Thank you for your response. As I already implied (strongly I thought) in my
original post, I did NOT configure anything prior to this happeneing - it
worked fine before and then - without ANY configuration or installation - it
did not. However, the last time I synchronized my Palm device with Outlook,
it also gave me a message, but this one complained about a graphic (I do not
remember exactly what word it used for that, but it was something similar to
"graphic"). There also, I am not aware of any graphic being sync'd there.

Again; what account type are you using and what account type is configured
in Control Panel-> Mail. Without this info we cannot help you.

I have totally uninstalled most of my applications including Office 2003 and
reinstalled. Outlook is no running, but there are now other applications
that do not want me to install them. Anyway, my problem seems to be
non-specific to Office but rather, to the OS or an application.

Thank you for your help.
